ThesisTools data to SPSS
I've created a small tool to convert the data you get from the updated thesistools to SPSS using Excel. The converter can be. An instructional video can be found here.
Current version:
version 0.95 (MD5 checksum: 72F18E2539565E62592F50C7542E2F45):
Issue with iOS fixed, so the tool should now also work on Mac.
On a side note, now using Bitly to shorten the download links since Google URL shortener is quitting.
Older versions
version 0.94 (MD5 checksum: 0D842A4F9E52B08C0AFA34353329C26A):
Labels of variables that contained non-printable characters caused no label to be shown in SPSS, this is now fixed. The apostrophe will now also be removed from labels and values. There is a total max length for data when using syntax of 1025 characters, a warning will be given showing the respondents that cause this to exceed. Tool can now also be re-used in case you have made changes, you will need to click on the 'Convert' again after the changes.
version 0.93 (MD5 checksum:
2A4EB2907C4A3F0F0D75C50CCE5B5B5E):
Two bugs fixed. First the
variable labels with the syntax has a maximum byte limit, so this is now limited to 200. Labels that are longer will simply be truncated. Second for variables where both numeric as text scores are shown, the type was set to numeric instead of string. This has been adjusted.
version 0.92 (MD5 checksum: 9146219DFADF8B6EF74726545EC0C83A):
For surveys with less than 50 variables an test survey caused errors since these were not removed, so for surveys with less than 50 variables the data got incorrectly entered and the variables of the test survey were shown. This is now fixed.
Version
version 0.91 (MD5 checksum: 5A72752EDA428F191AB726C0969BD56F):
IP address no longer used at thesistools so removed from tool as well. Also using a ' in text question caused problems, so now ' will be removed from the text.
version 0.9 (MD5 checksum: D75127CE68ED34202E13E9BF04DCBA93)
